Inaugural Function - Std. XI at Khanapur President, Adv. Vasantrao Apte

The LaxmanRao Apte Junior College was established in the year 1976. It is run by the ' Vidya Mahamandal Sanstha' and is the top most science junior College in Pune with an excellent repute.

Admissions to the college are through the centralized admission system. The cut off percentage for Std XI Science stream is the highest in Pune, constantly for the past 12 years.

The Junior College that provides education to students of Standard 11th and 12th, offers education in the following streams:

A. Science with Computers

B. Science with Electronics

C. Science with I.T.

It also has an M.C.V.C division that offers vocational courses in Building Maintenance, Electric Maintenance and Travel & Tourism.

There are courses that are run specially for students who are deaf, ad they are taught subjects such as EKATMA SHIKSHAN, motor winding, computers and D.T.P, which would help them become independent and earn with dignity.

Knowledge pf computers has become a prerequisite for entry and success in any career. Keeping this in mind, as said above, VIDYA MAHAMANDAL provides computer education to its students. Currently there are as many as 3 independent computer laboratories, with a high number of computers as shown below:
